Role objective:
End-to end responsibility for operations from receipt of raw materials to timely dispatch of finished products in a profitable manner by setting and achieving quality and cost targets. Leading projects and technological innovations in the tubes business with view to bridging about contiguous improvement in operational and technological aspects cost control, and quality assurance.
Primary responsibilities:
1) Collaborates with BU head to finalize production plans for the tubes business and takes responsibility for adherence to the same.
2) Takes responsibility for all plant and aerated operations to realize the strategic objectives and target of the Tubes Business related to efficient, high quality productions and cost control.
3) Monitors and analyses operational data related to production, operation of plant & machinery to identify pain and priority areas of the Tubes Business.
4) Ensures constant improvement of operational parameters through technological & process initiatives
5) Finalizes formulation and leads implementation of all new and major technical modifications / up gradation programmers within the Tubes Business in consultations with BU Head and the CEO
6) Monitors the environment constantly to identify risks and evaluate opportunities, identify changes in the technological front at national and global levels, defy impact of these changes on Tubes business
7) Identifies areas of confects and bottlenecks and focuses on removing the same
8) Takes responsibility for people development initiatives and boiling up of in-house capabilities aimed at succession planning for positions reporting to the incumbent >
9) Takes initiative to promote culture of cost, quality,and timeliness across shop floors in the Tubes business
10) Interacts with all employees on a regular basis to understand their key concerned and discusses these with BU had to facilitate development of systems and policies that are enabling.
Independence of operations:
Works independently with production with production and operating cost responsibility, .accountable to BH head for plant performance in the Tubes Factory
