Role Purpose:
Responsible for the preparation, coordination and continuous updating of overall schedule for site construction works.
Key accountabilities :
• Study construction plan and prepare construction schedule and plans.
Tasks:
1. Study and asses target dates for the project and parameters of the work programme ensuring that all programmed activities have man-hour contents in line with company procedures.
2. Review existing material and equipment schedules and obtain updated delivery information from the relevant departments.
3. Coordinate with construction manager and site in charge in preparation of the construction plan.
4. prepare the site plan consistent with the requirements and availability of the drawings, specifications, targets dates and definitive estimates.
5. Ensure that all staff and subcontractors are made aware of the site plan and appreciate the part they will need to play in its implementation.
6. Must know the proper procedure of Cost, Man-Hour, and Quantities Loading into Primavera
• Monitor and review construction progress.
Tasks:
1. Review the progress data, update the site plan and inform concerned person when progress is falling behind and maintain a constant check on material and equipment delivery.
2. Conduct meetings and prepare reports on the current situation and note all changes in forward plans and any restrictions on progress.
3. record works additional to the original requirements and all variations and revisions which must be incorporated in the site plan and informing the appropriate staff and sub contractors of any changes to their workload and any alteration to the target previously set.
4. Review and analyze subcontractors' progress information while ensuring that their systems and procedures are effective
5. Collate work progress for each contract and each area and include them in weekly and monthly site reports
6. Review agreements with subcontractors programme to ensure compatibility with project requirements.
7. Monitor site progress and prepare weekly 'look heads' to maintain objectives and agreed milestones
8. Prepare man-hour criteria for all activities.
9. Prepare trend analysis and forecast to running projects.
10. Produce comprehensive reports to support the project management team.
