Description
Country Manager Freight & Shipping required for a large regional logistics provider. You will take responsibility for the commerial and operational activity of all logistics functions. This includes freight forwarding, shipping, warehousing and transport of diverse products and equipment.
Serving industrial sector they provide operations across Saudi Arabia with 400 truck movements per day, utilising over 300 people to manage various operations.
You will be required to improve, review and optimise operations whilst ensuring the business is growing and meeting customer satisfaction. Focus on process, people and improvements is essential to achieve this.
Profile
The successful candidate should be from a shipipng, freight forwarding and logistics background with many years experience in managing operations, preferably in complex challenging or high risk areas.
- Extensive knowledge of freight forwarding, transport and logistics
- Knowledge of sectors including machinery, oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals etc would be useful
- Excellent commercial and sales experience and able to develop a business in this market
- Excellent people manager with ability to improve process and people performance through strong leadership
- Project management supply chain and sales experience required
- English speaking, Arabic useful but not essential
