Applications are invited for the position of Student Sucess Advisor fo both our Makkah and Taif Campuses.
This position has a duration of 12 months, with possibility of renewal, and with a start date of as soon as possible.
Reporting to the Associate Manager, Student Services, the Student Success Advisor will provide a wide spectrum of services that support new and returning students, including campus life, academic and career advising and education planning services to support academic success.
It is expected that the incumbent be flexible in terms of hours of work and maintain confidentiality, diplomacy and tact regarding internal and external relations.
Responsibilities
• Act as the main point of contact between students, parents and college staff and faculty.
• Monitors student progress toward education/career goals in consultation with faculty, staff and administration.
• Develop, maintain and manage student records, including academic and career advising through a database with a summary record of performance to date (grade reports, transcript, and completion of requirements).
• Provide supplemental advising and academic services to students on a daily walk in basis.
• Provide assistance for designated educational transactions (e.g., preregistration/ registration schedule, drops/adds, withdrawals, change of major and advisor, waivers, graduation requirements).
• Develop, maintain and monitor attendance, tracking reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Advice and counsel at-risk students by providing proactive strategies to promote academic success, increased attendance and participation.
• Assist in scheduling and planning campus events, including new student information sessions, orientations and open houses.
• Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to plan and implement on and offcampus events and activities directly related to community events, recruitment and extracurricular activities.
• Update, maintain and monitor internal & external student databases to manage student records, enrolment and communication.
• Develop individual and group advising sessions targeted at promoting student’s short and long-term goals. Sessions include career, academic and personal guidance and support.
• Develop and facilitate on-campus activities in intramural sports and recreational activities.
