Job Summary
This position is responsible for the budgetary control, financial analysis and reporting functions of the organisation. The position is primarily accountable for preparing the annual budget, comparing budget to actual results, analysing variances from budget and prior year, preparing quarterly profit revisions, reporting on profitability by Business Unit, Program and Location and, cost reduction analyses. The position requires a highly motivated individual with a track record of meeting deadlines, the ability to multi-task, and to maintain strict confidentiality over sensitive information. The individual will be pro-active with a commercial and analytical mindset The individual considers career an important part of life, is self-directed and gains personal fulfillment from delivering results
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare and circulate budget templates to capture information in the required format and detail
- Inform department managers of due dates for the submission of budget information
- Act as an advisor to department managers in formulating their budget submissions
- Review proposed budget submissions from department managers for accuracy and completeness
- Propagate the approved budget throughout the organization and explain issues as requested
- Propose enhancements to the budget model as required to account for changes to business operations
