Job Purpose
Actively document, investigate, and resolve issues related to Trade Compliance services and electronic tools. Primarily responsible for the investigation and resolution of Sanctioned Party List blocks including identification of blocked orders, investigation of the cause for the blocks, utilization of third party screening systems for investigation of issues, understanding of European and North American sanctioned party lists utilizing a SAP software system called Global Trade Services (GTS) which monitors all activity within SAP looking for violations of Sanctioned Party Lists (SPL), embargo issues, or import/export licenses issues.
Functional Duties
1. Managers GTS blocks which occur within SAP system; Assists in the resolution of issues associated with GTS.
2. Drives improvements in the Sanctioned Party List, Embargo, and Licenses process and is identified as the SME for this work process and system.
3. Insure that the process flows seamlessly to completion, stepping in as required to identify appropriate involvement of other resources; generates and monitors the process measures to make sure it is effective; and leverages experience and knowledge in the process to optimize the establishment of effective corrective action.
4. Generate and track performance metrics for the process, and provide reporting on performance of the assigned functions for timely and effective resolution of issues.
5. Identify data trends and drive the organization toward change to ensure improved resolution performance.
6. Become an expert in Third Party SPL software and develop work processes for the understanding of the related issues.
7. Provide direction and counsel on the assigned area of Trade Compliance (e.g. Import Compliance, Export Compliance, Security Compliance, etc.) within scope of experience.
8. Defines and recommends enhancements to the work process and procedures.
9. Establish and analyze metrics to improve operational reliability in Trade Compliance activities.
10. Using information and systems technology to enter, obtain, analyze and share information necessary to meet internal and external partner needs in the most effective manner.
11. Actively contributes to the business goals, in particular for Trade Compliance, to improve account management, meet the account plan, and achieve team goals.
12. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.
