POSITION OVERVIEW:
Completes a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline. The Engineer at this level is a fully qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of most engineering theories and practices. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications. Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Experienced designer of power, lighting and communication (telecoms and data etc) provisions in small to large scale buildings, calculation of demand loads, diversity factors and production of Concept Reports through to Construction Documentation.
• Some experience of design and specification of ELV, IT, below ground utilities and specialist systems is advantageous.
• Able to manage other Electrical Engineers/ Draftsmen and direct designs, liaise and coordinate with other disciplines.
• They should be well versed in liaison with local authorities and their requirements and submission of information for attaining NOC’s.
• They should be fully experienced in attending to contractors queries, reviewing shop drawings and submissions and attending to site issues in an expedient manner.
