Role Prupose:
Lead the department functions for the assigned specific portfolio by executing the strategies to ensure that both team adheres to the company vision and objectives; Responsible for the achievement of goals by directing the department to achieve targets in line with the company’s vision.
Key Activities:
• Lead the operation by following the standards set by TMC and DAO including problem solving and crises management to ensure the operation are running smoothly.
• Manage the teams to achieve pre-determined operational targets by providing and analyzing business plans to objectives determined by the management.
• Monitor and evaluate the team performance to ensure that the operation targets are met by taking corrective action in conjunction with the supply chain management.
• Responsible for ensuring all operational processes are efficient and customer complaints are resolved by promoting standard vehicles logistics and SOP.
• Implement action plans and timelines of department’s Hoshin Kanri to ensure the department meets the annual targets set by the management.
• Address customer complaints that require support from the Transporter, Shipping Company, Stevedoring Companies and Service Centers to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Initiate dialogue with Transporter and Shipping Companies to discuss and address inbound targets and parking space in port areas and improving opportunities through regular meetings.
• Conduct regular management meeting to update and direct the teams for the upcoming challenges and any abnormal issues.
• Conduct process audits with concerned departments and external parties and propose improvement plans and action plans to the management.
• Communicate and negotiate the contracts with Transport suppliers ensuring the compliance with legal department and making sure that targets are achieved.
• Review the SLA’s and SOP’s periodically where service levels exceed or cannot cope with the requirements.
• Create standard of works, methods with concerned departments in consonance with the new processes of the company.
• Continuously monitor and analyze the performance achievements by assisting the sections or units to achieve their targets.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and corrective/preventive actions for accident reports and pending recurring issues.
• Review reports from section head and counsels on adequate measures in the event of constraints specified.
