Job Purpose:
Execute Payroll and OPEX accounting activities, Process the accounts payable transactions, prepare accurate and timely financial reports;Complete payments and controls expenses by ensuirng the accuracy of preliminary and final payroll reports, and funds distribution in order to ensure the compliance with accounting principles and statutory controls.
Functional Responsibilities:
1. Carry out day-to-day book keeping and finance / accounting (payments/ receivables/ payroll) tasks that are subject to well-defined procedures.
2. Colloborate with the emplployee services department to compile statistical and payroll data from a variety of sources (eg Attendance, salary adjustment, benefits, leave balances, increments etc..)
3. Enter all payroll-related modifications including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, etc. in the respective financial system.
4. Prepare and enter journal entries for each payroll timely and accurately.
5. Prepare monthly accruals and necessary account payable analysis
6. Produces regular payroll reports using financial reporting systems as required.
7. Analyse and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
8. Undertakes simple analysis and ad hoc reports for use by the finance department, using manual or computerized records.
9. Resolve basic accounting discrepancies and escalate to more senior members of the family for more complicated issues.
10. Gathers basic information and regular documentation and collates those for use by other members of the department.
11. Monitors asssigned payroll activity for the purpose of ensuring compliance with established accounting procedures.
12. Assists auditors for the purpose of providing supporting documentation and / or information on the the internal process that is required for the audit.
13. Performs other related duties or assignments as directed by higher levels of supervision.
