Job Purpose
Provides technical advice and develops solutions for technical problems in the assigned asset area (C/D/R), by utilising simulation and modelling techniques to meet future requirements &/or to improve current profitability.
Operational Support
Provide professional engineering advice and technical expertise to support development and optimization of unit operational plans.
Provide ongoing professional engineering advice, technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance to maintain and enhance operation and throughput of the unit.
Provides technical input for advanced process control applications to enhance operation of the unit.
Monitor operating parameters to ensure unit streams are within specified limits and IOW.
Engineering Support
Provide professional engineering advice and technical expertise for Client business units and departments to support project development, engineering studies, SD/TA plans and activities, materials and contract procurement, I&R improvement programs.
Execute assigned inspection activities and monitoring of catalyst loading during SD/TA to support QA/QC and ensure compliance with agreed work practices and methodology.

Job Context
The job holder undertakes technical studies and evaluates solutions on both technical and economic merits, to ensure the best possible solution is selected to maximise profitability. The job holder assists operations with the preparation of start-up and commissioning procedures for proper start-up & minimum downtime. The job holder contributes to the uninterrupted operation of the plant and thus assists in maximising profits / margins.
The jobholder is responsible for providing up-to-date process engineering support to the production team and must be constantly aware of new developments in his field of expertise through attendance at seminars, training courses and communication with a network of peers in the industry.
The job holder acts as a coach / mentor to his subordinates and is heavily involved in the on-job training and development of Saudi Nationals to take their place in the organization
