Job Summary
To provide engineering support and technical consultancy to all NOMAC operated Power and water producing facilities in terms of resolving operational difficulties/troubleshooting, evaluating material performance, reviewing Plant/Equipment Designs/specifications, coordinating in developing Projects, suggesting proactive actions to enhance Plant Performance, minimize O&M cost, achieve targeted Plant availability, maximize sustainability of the production and the facility, suggest measures to extend Plant life, etc.

Job Description
Responsibility No.
To assist Sr. Technical Manager in carrying out diligent verification of basic data, design
1specifications, systems standards of major Plant equipments installed by the EPC Contractors in NOMAC operated Power & Desalination Projects or to be installed in new Projects.
To participate in developing the “Scope of Work” defining the functional requirements/
2equipment specifications, in case any system/equipment requires modification to be performed by outsourced agency.
To assist Plant Management in responding to the queries and/or clarifications concerning
3technical specifications asked by the Contractors.
To assist Plant O&M crews in analyzing critical system upsets/operating problems and
4recommend measures to avoid recurrences.
To assist in performing Residual Life Assessment (RLA) studies for the major Plant equipments
5and recommend corrective actions for extending the lifespan and/or for better and economic utilization of the equipment, wherever necessary.
To participate in all major areas of engineering support and technical consultancy offered by the

Engineering & Technical Support Management.
7 Perform other duties as assigned
Job Specifications
Educational Desired M.S. (Science or Engineering) + 10 years experience OR Ph.D. (Science or Engineering) + 08 years experience.
Preferred M.S. (Chemical Science or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering) with 15 years experience in relevant field OR Ph.D. (Chemical Science or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering) with 10 years relevant experience.
Minimum
Experience
(Type and duration) Minimum 10 years with M.S. in O&M of major Co-generation Plants (combined cycle Power generation and MSF +
MED + SWRO Desalination units) in Senior Position
OR 08 years with Ph.D. in O&M of major Cogeneration Plants (combined cycle Power generation and MSF + MED + SWRO Desalination units) in Senior Position both having sound chemical, biological and metallurgical backgrounds.
M.S. + 15 years Exp. with minimum 2 Papers/Project reports compiled and 2 Conferences attended all in the field of O&M of major Co-generation Plants (combined cycle Power generation and MSF + MED
+ SWRO Desalination units) OR Ph.D. + 10 years Exp.
Preferable with minimum 3 Papers/Project reports published and 3 Conferences attended all in the field of O&M of major Co-generation Plants (combined cycle Power generation and MSF + MED + SWRO
Desalination units).
