The Key Account Manager is responsible for marketing and sales of products and services to obtain orders that are profitable to the company. The position is expected to achieve electrical distribution and engineering services solutions sales results. The primary responsibility is to increase sale in the assigned territory, application guidance and technical assistance to prospective and existing customers. This position is expected to develop, grow, and maintain relationships with the company's customers.
Revenue growth and strategy
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements
Quote projects and negotiate correct required pricing
- Prepare sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness
Build relationships with key customers to enhance long-term business prospects
- Work with Suppliers and the engineering team to resolve technical issues while working with customers to resolve quality issues
- Canvas the market to gain insight and adjust to ever changing pricing and delivery requirements
- Assist team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions
- He will be responsible for identifying new accounts(customers) for his sector
He will also monitor market trends to anticipate competitor activities and will also devise strategies in a timely manner to maintain the company's strong market position
- Obtain ongoing training on both functional and technical skillsMarketing initiatives
- The Key Account Manager will participate in trade shows, conferences, and other market development activities in close coordination with the Engineering department & Partnership Development department
Coordinate with Partnership Development department to strengthen relationships with existing as well as new suppliers
Payment Follow Up
- Follow up with customers for due payment according to submitted Quotation / Customer PO terms & conditions
After Sales Service
- Take the lead to resolve customer complaints about technical issues of delivered material, damaged material, delayed deliveries and wrong material.
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the similar domain
- Past experience in electrical equipment manufacturing/trading or EPC domain is mandatory
- Past experience in Middle Eastern countries is desirable
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor of engineering required (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Minimum 3 years of electrical industry experience is highly desirable not mandatory

- Demonstrated ability to develop plans & strategies, presentations and proposals
- Ability to respond to a variety of challenging circumstances while continuing to demonstrate superior selling skills for important customer services and applications
Electrical product knowledge
- Ability to provide technical solutions built around customer needs
- Possess negotiating skills while understanding and using techniques needed to close orders
Experience with preparing sales proposals that meet customer expectations
- Robust presentation, training and communications skills
- Experience utilizing Value Added selling techniques
- Strong work ethic, communications skills, competitiveness, willingness to learn and adept at building relationships
- Strong oral and communication skills
