Primarily, as an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the Accounting Department, general financial accounting and administrative duties in relation to accounts payable and purchases to help the company achieve its financial and business objectives.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and control accounting staff to ensure that they are carrying out their responsibilities to the required standards.
- Participate in controlling and monitoring the company’s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and financial statutory regulations are complied with.
- Ensure month-end and year-end timely closing of accounting books and regular preparation of financial reports and analysis.
- Initiate and follow up debts collection. Safeguard the company assets by applying internal control procedures.
- Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company.
- Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the company meets its financial and legal obligations. Maintain a close working relationship with the external / internal auditors to ensure compliance and cooperation with their requirements.
- Verify divisional petty cash and cash in banks allocations and records.
- Ensures cash proceedings are timely deposited and balances reconciled on monthly basis.
- Ensures that divisional payroll expenses and deductions are correctly allocated and charged to respective cost centers and GL accounts.
- Prepares and drafts varies financial statements and reports in order to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position such as balance sheet, profit and loss statement .etc
