The Job Profile
The holder of this position carries the responsibility of the bodyshop activities in the dealership making sure to distinguish his department as the best service provider in terms of customer satisfaction, service quality and profit. The bodyshop Manager is a member of the management team and determines the guidelines in the area of bodsyhop: exhausting market potential for workshop services, managing staff, reaching economic goals and complying with applicable contracts and guidelines.
Description of tasks
• Developing plans and targets for the bodyshop services and ensures that they are achieved.
• Controlling the activities of the service reception & the bodyshop
• Ensurement of a high quality of work in the reception and bodyshop teams
• Setting, organizing and monitoring the workflow between reception / body repairs team and paint and finishing team
• Ensure the proper estimate for repairs is being applied and checked
• Giving the proper delivery time for customers delivery
• Planning the optimum utilization of workshop capacity
• Ensure proper and efficient final controls are being applied on every stage of the repair process.
• Evaluates and analyses the weaknesses of the actual workshop services on offer and recommends suitable remedies.
• Ensures bodyshop services quality, safety requirements principles within his area of responsibility.
• Enhances the work environment of the whole bodyshop area.
• Monitors and controls workshop reports.
• Recommends training programs and measuring the performance of all workshop staff in order to maximize the efficiency of the work and achieves the optimum output.
• Ensurance of speedy and correct body and paint repairs of customer vehicles.
• The guarantee of the complete and proper execution of all individual items on the repair order.
• Distribution of work orders in accordance with the capabilities of the technicians and the agreed completion times.
• Use of best paint application methods and systems for best repairs.
• Ensuring of correct registering of time cards & the correct punching of working times on the job order
• Ensuring that correct parts required for carrying out the operations are ordered on the job orders.
• Optimal use of the bodyshop resources and equipment
• Ensure the best system for paint mixing and application is applied
