The IT Manager Coach will focus on the development of the IT function and how it impacts the operation of the college, both in resource allocation and the development of a standalone IT operation. They will also assist the Provider Head in the execution of the College Improvement Plan in line with the program targets and budget.
To work with the existing IT Manager and his staff to improve the IT infrastructure of the college including information systems, networks and telecommunications. To be able to affect change outcomes through influencing and gaining buy-in from incumbent IT staff. To work with incumbent manager to ensure there is accountability for systems availability and capacity planning
To establish systems/processes and policies for the management of hardware, software and MIS system roll outs across network for upgrades and enhancements.
Demonstrates knowledge about the selection, implementation, operation and maintenance of IT systems,
Coaches and develops IT Manager to provide him with the capability to develop and mentor his team. Contributes towards the development of strategic decision making processes, and the identification and compilation of financial information as part of a formal Strategic Plan.
Supports the identification and implementation of service standards for the IT department.
