A leading transportation, logistics and supply chain company in Saudi Arabia and the GCC is looking for an HSE and Quality Manager to join their growing team!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning and Performance Management
* Contribute to the development of the company’s overall strategy in close coordination with the CEO and management team, in order to align the company’s strategy with its vision and mission.
* Direct the development of the company HSE and quality strategy in line with the overall company strategy and objectives to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration within other interfacing business units.
* Monitor the performance of the company HSE and quality and prepare periodic reports on its overall performance to ensure deviations from performance targets are identified and reported in a timely manner, and that actions are adjusted to achieve set action plans.
Budget Preparation
* Oversee the development and consolidation of the company HSE and quality budget, in coordination with Finance, to ensure alignment with budget guidelines.
* Monitor financial performance versus budget to keep track of costs and areas of unsatisfactory performance to ensure improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Policies & Procedures
* Ensure the accurate development and implementation of the appropriate HSE and quality policies and people management practices, in order to support the realization of the company’s strategic objectives and comply with leading best practices and standards, as well as with local legislation and regulations.
Organisation Development
* Define an optimum organisation structure for the function overseen to ensure that work is optimally organised, resources are optimally utilised and communication can take place in an efficient and effective manner.
Day-to-Day Operations
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the HSE and quality department, providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring teamwork, aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets, objectives and employee engagement in a motivated work environment.
* Liaises and coordinates with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to support and ensure execution and smooth flow of the company’s business
Health, Safety & Environment Risk Assessment
* Assess the HSE and risks and recommend changes in regulations to mitigate the risks in line with international best practice and local regulations
* Develop and maintain equipment specifications to be used in identification of appropriate fire and safety equipment to support protection of the business, facilities and personnel.
Emergency Response Plans
* Ensure the development of effective Emergency Response Plans to ensure adequate compliance to contractual requirements for fire and medical emergency services.
Environment
* Inspect Bakhashab sites for hazardous waste with environmental impact in order to protect the environment from any environmental hazard/threat.
* Organize awareness of recycling waste, protecting against pollution etc. in order to create a more sustainable environment.
Quality Management
* Oversee the implementation of quality management to align with the requirements of quality standards certification and local quality award models in order to ensure the improvement of business results and ensure business performance is met
