Student Services are responsible for providing a variety of administrative and front line services. Student Services will staff the front line information counter and ensure a quality customer service with a student centred approach. Responsible for preparation of Student ID Cards, issuing advance warning leave requests, etc. Responds to enquiries from students and guardians. Also assists with coordination of student activities and special college events.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Student Counter
· Provides quality services to students, guardians, staff and community through telephone and in person contact.
· Responds to student questions and requests ensuring that department procedures are followed.
· Advises students, and in particular new students, regarding procedures and services.
· Receives student complaints (i.e. regarding food services, student conflicts, facilities) and assists where appropriate or redirects to management, other specialist colleague roles or counsellor as necessary.
· Ensures that front line services area looks professional and welcoming for students and community visitors.
Other duties
· Responsible for the preparation of student ID cards and arranging student transportation.
· Maintains lost and found records contacting students if lost items are found.
· Scans and files documents and other student forms.
· Manages ILE system login password change requests.
· Assists in the coordination of student activities and special college events.
· Other special duties as assigned by the Student Services Manager.
· Arrange award ceremonies for the students, motivate top performer students.
