The Talent Acquisition is responsible for managing the full spectrum of the talent acquisition process from workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing and selection to the on-boarding of professional, technical and administrative staff at Babson College. As a business associate they consult with and partner with department managers in planning activities, therefore possess business acumen to design the talent requirements of various departmental operations. He/she is a strong collaborator and is competent to provide consultation and ultimate resolution of employee and labor relations matters. In addition, the Manager is a member of a management team designing the college’s diversity staffing strategy and plan. They also are required to frequently coordinate with the Office of the General Counsel on employment and employee relations matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partners with hiring managers to develop a solid understanding of the business needs which translate to workforce requirements for departments.
- Assists managers with the hiring process by providing training and technical assistance as needed.
- Trains managers to successfully participate on a hiring panel known as the Talent Acquisition Team.
- Provides oversight and support to employment team members ensuring high levels of positive interactions, timeliness, and optimal outcomes from the hiring process.
- Continuously assess the infrastructure and effectiveness of hiring processes and makes recommended changes to achieve improved results.
- Designs and utilizes predictive HR analytics identifying, documenting, and leveraging the linkages between key analytics and workforce metrics.
- Develops and adopts an employer branding campaign.
- Collaborates in the development of career and succession planning models.
- Researches, selects, and negotiates contracts with search firms as necessary.
- Develops, monitors, and reports on division budget.
