A Marine business providing variety of services including port operations, ship repairs and overhaul, offshore repair, ship management, safety and shipping agency. They also own and run a fleet of vessels serving major clients in the region.
They stand as one of the leading businesses within the marine and port industry in the region. The business is part of a larger corporate conglomerate business based in KSA
Description
As General Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the company including all aspects of operations, commercial, finance, HR, safety etc. You will be focused on improving efficiency, profitability and strategic growth of the business. This will involve also managing and developing the client base and customers through excellent service levels, quality and promotion of services.
Profile
The successful candidate should be from a marine background (ex ship captain experience would be ideal) with a thorough understanding of vessel operations, maintenance, safety and repairs. A knowledge of port operations and a strong blend of both operations and technical knowledge and commercial acumen. You should have experience of running a business unit in full including all sales, financial control (p&l), team management recruitment retention and business growth.
