- Responsible for keeping up to date with the latest international trends in education and always keep in sight which learning challenges students face in their day-to-day school lives.
- Responsible for the Mathematics/Science content teams and approve, select anf train teaching staff of the respective teams.
- Team leadership, management and development.
- Develop and implement processes for the content and curriculum department.
- Mentor and support teaching and learning through modeling, coaching, evaluating and professional development to improve and accelerate student achievement through quality curriculum and instruction.
- Demonstrates leadership skills and has expertise in curriculum, instructional strategies, child development and knowledge of adult learning theory.
- Research and provide content knowledge and resources to staff about learning and teaching Mathematics/Science subjects - including teaching strategies.
- Provide demonstration lessons to model effective instructional strategies and assessments.
- Support the development of a coherent instructional program with clear and well-articulated standards that incorporate best practice across the content areas.
- Supervision and evaluation of elementary and secondary Mathematics/Science teachers to provide feedback on teaching performance and fidelity of implementation of instructional programs.
- Coordination and delivery of professional development opportunities for elementary and secondary Mathematics/Science subjects teachers.
- Modeling and supporting best practices in curriculum, assessment and achievement in Mathematics/Science subjects.
- Facilitate the development of quality curriculum.
- Keep the curriculum and instruction programs up to date with particular emphasis on evaluating new developments in instruction.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate instructional programs with teachers and principals, including learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques.
- Evaluate and coordinate the selection of instructional materials and equipment, including technology.
