Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Manager manages key Supply Chain functions such as production scheduling, material planning, inventory control, supply planning and operational procurement for the total business unit of Natpet Schulman Specialty Plastic Compounds as well as all tolling activities and business warehouses. The SCM leads the Sales & Operations Planning Process including inventory management and is also accountable and responsible for cost to serve (Freight & Warehouse Costs, inventory cost and SC People Costs). He reviews regularly material flows to ensure optimal design are in place and deploys, leads and develop his team to guarantee operational stability as well as operational excellence. He leads operational procurement, Site Logistics teams in dual report to Plant Manager.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1) Accountable and responsible to run an organized S&OP Process for NSSPC, manage the execution and adherence of the supply plan; mediate issues and ensure any deviations from the supply plan are in alignment with operating and business rules. Develop all-inclusive operating rules and strategy with Operations leadership to support business costs objectives and customer service. Ensure alignment and audit compliance.
2) Measure key supply chain metrics (OTIF - Promise vs. Request, Inventory levels, schedule attainment, business rule adherence and etc.), understand results and develop actions that drive results and lasting improvement. Support the BU with process enhancements to planning systems that improve business awareness, value and reduce cost & waste.Drive consistency and compliance with standard supply chain work processes (systemic and physical) throughout the BU Supply Chain.
3) Establish a high performing team across scheduling, logistics, operational procurement with the right level of quality and quantity. Focus on elimination of non-value added work and improving team productivity.
4) Prepares action plans for the development of supply Chain management and continuous improvement.
5) Coordinates and follows-up supply operations between procurement and planning according to specific actions for each process to manage and supply all the needs of the company's supplies and materials according to specifications and in the planned time.
6) Contacts the Technical Committee responsible for the examination to get them on the speed of decision and contact the vendor for the informing of rejection reasons so that reflux the rejected supplies without delay.
