Purpose of the Position :
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support to the computer users.
Main Responsibilities :
1. Respond to the Tickets/Queries raised by user in IT management system, either in person, over the phone.
2. Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, network etc.
3. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve the hardware, software, networks, printers, scanners, phone system problems and replace defective components when necessary.
4. Install and configure computer hardware, software.
5. Install and configure peripheral devices such as printer, scanner, copier, finger print machine etc.
6. Install and configure operating system, all necessary licensed software, utilities & plugins.
7. Install and configure email client software on computers /mobiles /tablets.
8. Schedule inspection of all computers to check & ensure System and antivirus signatures updates.
9. Schedule inspection of all computers to check & ensure only license software are installed, remove unnecessary / unauthorized I pirated software, games, movies etc.
10. Visit branch offices and project sites when required for support.
I I. Diagnose and resolve all kind of LAN problems including, network switches, Ethernet cables, connectors, network modular and patch panels.
12. Maintain performance of computer systems.
13. Preventive and breakdown maintenance of computers and servers.
14. Provide proper usage guidance of computers and peripherals to the users.
15. Undertake any other responsibility assigned.
