Jobs Management in Saudi Arabia
Main purpose of job
To organize research into the development of new products to ensure
the continuing growth and profitability of the company.
Main responsibilities
1. Direct and control staff to ensure that they are appropriately
motivated and trained and carry out their responsibilities to the
required standards.
2. Develop and implement policies and programmes to research into
the development of new products and modifications to existing
ones to achieve the company’s business objectives.
3. Maintain an awareness of technical developments in the industry
to ensure that the company has up-to-date and relevant informa-
tion.
4. Commission or carry out research into new and existing product
performance for both company and competitor products.
5. Maintain close links with other departments and internal clients
to ensure that the appropriate products are developed to meet
customer needs.
6. Develop and control the budget for the department to ensure that
all financial and cost objectives are met and targets are achieved
within overall cost constraints.
7. Provide advice to managers and employees on all matters related
to new product development.
8. Establish and maintain contacts with customers and potential
customers to develop an awareness of their product requirements.
