Job Summary:
Selects, conducts and interprets appropriate audiological assessments in order to evaluate physiological functioning of the auditory system and ensure that the patient realizes and maintains maximum audiological functioning;
Principle Duties:
1. Evaluate, diagnose and manage patients with hearing and / or balance disorders.
2. Determine the need for referral to other professionals and responds to such requests.
3. Select testing methods and equipment; interpret result of all assessments, relay information to physicians and to interdisciplinary teams as necessary.
4. Provide detailed/comprehensive written reports where deemed necessary, outlining all relevant case history information, results of all audiological assessments, as well as impressions and/or recommendations.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
Masters Degree from a recognized Audiology program that includes 1 year of clinical practicum as part of the degree - at least 4 years minimum experience.
