Strategic
- Contribute to the formulation of the company's strategy
- Develop the IT strategy in alignment with the company's overall strategy
- Plan, organize and direct the division’s activities to ensure that they comply with the company's standards, policies, and procedures
- Involve Heads of Sections and Units within IT to establish department plans and budgets
- Manage financial and staffing budgets by forecasting requirements and deploying resources effectively
- Monitor performance of the functions within IT as per the pre-set KPIs in coordination with Corporate Development
- Provide executive-level reporting to the Group CEO on a regular basis regarding overall operations of the division and potential issues
- Exercise proper leadership and support for the Managers within IT Operational
Operational
- Design, develop and oversee the implementation of the the company's IT strategy while liaising with key internal stakeholders
- Oversee the development of policies and procedures related to the use of IT systems (e.g. security, backup and recovery)
- Develop Information Technology security strategies and applications as well as disaster readiness and recovery plans
- Develop and implement an IT business continuity plan for maintaining stable and reliable systems infrastructure, and providing accessible support, advice and development for all IT-related issues at the company
- Develop new IT initiatives in line with the company's business objectives and needs
- Ensure system requirements and specifications are met within budget according to the requirements of users
- Oversee the efficient operation of IT Helpdesk and Maintenance functions and ensure high satisfaction levels from internal customers
- Oversee network operations including troubleshooting, adding and modifying users, assigning access rights, establishing e-mail addresses and performing backups
- Oversee the development and implementation of application and maintenance methodologies and standards
- Oversee routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software
- Ensure compliance with all software licensing requirements and agreements
- Oversee the discovery, mitigation and documentation of IT risks; prepare reports and take appropriate actions when necessary
- Oversee network administration activities and ensure the smooth running of the company's network
- Manage IT Security (Systems Access, Anti-Virus and Spam, User Profiles, etc.) protocols
- Translate the company's business requirements into functional and technical system requirements and identify vendors who can fulfill these requirements
- Evaluate technically the proposals of vendors to fulfill the corporate IT requirements and its selected subsidiaries
- Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors to best fit the company's operational needs and budget constraints
- Manage all related user testing activities
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the company's website
- Ensure technical support for the efficient operation of the company's Intranet
- Manage the performance of the ERP Manager, IT Operations Manager and IT Security Specialist, and assume responsibility of their development, includes performance review and development plans
