AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (AOR)
1. To deliver agreed Sales and Gross Margin
2. Assortment Planning
3. Introducing New Products
4. Negotiation of better Cost Price
5. To Increase Supplier Investment (like Rebate/Progressive Rebate/Logistic support/Marketing Fund/Listing Fees/Merchandising Funds etc.)
6. Pricing of New and Existing Products
7. Manage Supplier Relations
8. Follow-up on Delivery from Supplier and from Warehouse to Stores
9. Suggest Products to be included into the Promotional Catalogue
CORE FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITIES (CFA)
1. Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
2. Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
3. Prepare reports and summarize data including sales report and book value.
4. Schedule store visits and conduct competitor survey.
5. Visiting Show and Seminar Locally and Internationally
6. Execution and monitoring of all regular purchasing duties.
7. Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
8. Handling and monitoring of claims to vendors for defectives, shortage, expiry and clearance.
9. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
10. Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
11. Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
12. Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers.
13. Purchase and issue order in accordance to specification.
14. Plan and manage inventory levels of products
15. Maintain procurement files.
16. Regular communication with Store team for passing specific product knowledge to the teams in stores
17. Coordinating with Category Management for Assortment Planning
18. Communicating with Category Management and Merchandising Team for Visual Merchandising or Product display initiatives
