Duties and responsibilities:
• Lead the development of the strategy for the investment department in line with company strategy and direction.
• Formulate the investment mandate which includes target real estate sectors, regions and asset classes, periodically review and modify the investment mandate.
• Defines and own the investment process in line with market developments and company requirements.
• Identify new investment opportunities within the real estate asset classes which will lead to better utilization of company’s real estate portfolio.
• Cultivate relationships with prospective partners and keep abreast of latest developments in different real estate sectors to identify relevant opportunities.
• Lead & guide research to enable professional assessment of opportunities. Lead and supervise market and secondary research activities.
• Oversee extensive financial feasibility and investment analysis, pro-forma modeling of new developments, and opportunistic investment strategies.
• Guide & direct the investment team throughout the investment process for any investment opportunity.
• Oversee and maintain the process for regularly reviewing the real estate portfolio performance results, variances and prospective changes to real estate asset allocations.
• Regularly monitor the performance of the firm’s real estate portfolio and produce reports for CEO, Board, and Investment Committee.
• Plan and execute Divestments to realize returns.
• Manage Risks at individual project levels as well as the corporate level by conducting value at risk analysis on periodic basis.
• Escalate matters of risk to the CEO for necessary action.
