The Electronic Design Engineer (EDE) should come from a technical background, preferably an EE with experience in electrical design, RF systems, automation, test procedures and quality control. He should also be familiar with purchasing, scheduling and managing a project. The EDE should be able to interface well with various disciplines of Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations.
• Provides documentation for manufacture/automation/repair via authorization of expenditures or work orders.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test and adjust all Company’s electronic systems.
• Designs next generation electronic systems.
• Designs equipment and fixtures for testing.
• Orders components for prototypes.
• Researches/ orders special tools and supplies
• Able to travel to on-site locations to offer Company’s products via Work-Orders.
• Bills of Materials (BOM) maintenance.
• Expected to travel on own expenses (personal credit card) which will be reimbursed via company expense account. Typical expenses include hotel, car rental, meals, etc. Company related expenditures are reimbursable through expense reports.
