Job Purpose
Centered on Operational Excellence, provide senior specialist technical services across plastics conversion Plants as well as technical leadership within the department in order to ensure the selection of appropriate engineering/technologist techniques for quality, defect free and efficient product manufacturing; to solve problems related to manufacturing and make process and product improvement recommendations
Technical Support
Develops product specifications; designs test procedures and standards to monitor technical performance
Recommends/develops product or process change in order to improve system performance or better meet customer or other user needs
Develops appropriate procedures, equipment and standards to satisfy the intent of the project
Oversees and implements testing and calibration of testing equipment
Prepares project specification, cost and material estimates and collaborates with the different functions on project schedules, reports and tender documents to ensure the appropriate rollout, major maintenance and downtime of equipment and moulds
Provides technical leadership through mentoring, to transfer knowledge and ensure the development of capabilities within the organization.
