ACWA Power has recently won Skaka IPP PV solar project, the first utility scale Renewable Energy plant at the oil capital, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This plant is the first of what will be a series of procurement within the visionary and ambitious Saudi national renewables program aiming to produce 9.5 GW of renewable energy by 2023 as a first phase. The 25-year Power Purchase contract was awarded for ACWA Power at a new world record tariff of US Cents 2.3417/kWh (8.781 halalas/kWh).
We are looking for a qualified Construction Manager to oversee the project's Construction and supervise the EPC Contractor on behalf of the Project Company.
Main responsibilities:
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to Project Manager according to AP standards.
Supports the Project Management Team with different stakeholders (Offtaker, EPC Contractor, O&M Contractor) - Ensure proper coordination among all team members (Site Managers, QA/QC Manager and inspector, document controller, HSE officer, etc.)
- Lead daily and weekly coordination meetings with EPC contractor and subcontractors.
- Ensure the project is constructed and commissioned in accordance to the approved design, contractual requirements, QA/QC procedure and project schedule.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards in coordination with the local HSE team
- Coordinate and supervise the application of the communications procedure and other project procedures.
- Supports the Project Manager in the coordination and review of the Monthly report prepared by the EPC contractor.
- Supports the Project Manager during the handover of the project to the O&M contractor
