Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a resource person in the areas of financial accounting, cost analysis, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
2. Serve as a credit controller and manage accounts receivable to reduce overall credit risk and optimize their collectibility.
3. Develop and maintain a Fixed Assets Register to accurately account for the acquisition cost, accumulated depreciation, insurance, major repairs, location, and quantity of such assets.
4. Ascertain that the various expenditure cycle functions operate in accordance with established methodologies, policies, and procedures.
5. Audit suppliers’ invoices to ascertain their legitimacy, and their agreement with related documentary support.
6. Generate inventory control reports that assure accuracy of cost of consumption, and accuracy and condition of quantities in stock.
7. Acquire and maintain an adequate knowledge base in Great Plains or any other ERP software adopted by the company.
8. Generate regular and ad hoc financial accounting reports and ascertain their reasonableness before their transmittal to intended key users.
9. Supervise the accounting staff responsible for the various Management Accounting Functions.
