Responsibilities: • Updates PC-based purchasing and contracting formats, such as purchase request, purchase orders, blanket contracts, systems contracts, RFPs and RFQs for products and services and developing selection/evaluation protocols. • Hand-on experience with Purchasing software. prefer ERP System from Oracle • Maintains data system for tracking purchasing and contracting functions. • Develops and maintains relationships with vendors and contractors to identify and qualify potential bidders and obtains competitive vendor pricing for small value purchases. Compiles lists of vendors for bid submission and prepares RFQs and RFPs for specific purchaing requirements. • Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices • Arbitrates claims and resolves complaints generated during performance of contract and P.Os • Maintains and reviews computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories. • Confers with personnel, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determines corrective action to ensure highest level of quality. • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses • High level of negotiation skills • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and monitor stock level • Performs other duties of a similar or related level as necessary or assigned
