• A Critical Care Assistant Consultant is a member of the medical staff who has been approved by the Ministry of health as meeting the professional and experience requirements for that grade.

• He/ She reports to the designated Consultant(s) and be accountable, through the Chief of   Department, to the Medical Director. The ICU Specialist may work without direct Consultant supervision, but may not assume the overall responsibility for the continuing care of the patient. He/she will refer to the Consultant in ALL matters requiring changes in care   programs.
