Job Purpose

The Warehouseman is the key component of the KAEC Warehouse Operations to constantly meet and exceed expectations of its customers. Warehouseman performs a series of inbound and outbound functions relating to the receipt, storage, cycle counts, picking (following FEFO) consolidation, loading shipping and transfer of goods within the warehouse using SAP and EWMS functionalities. Accountable for condition of the stocks in the Warehouse and recording of all moves in and out of the warehouse. Proper maintenance, care and safe operation of the assigned MHE, is Warehouseman’s responsibility.    

Main Responsibilities

Inbound Operations (Internal and 3PL):

• 
  
• Ensure Standard Inbound warehousing practices are followed in the warehouse as per the SOP’s.
• 
  
• Ensure on time inbound in adherence to all safety and quality standards.
• 
  
• Execute the inbound activities and to  receive the shipments for temperature recording (Cold), Damages, Shortages etc.,
• 
  
• Ensure all discrepancies in the inbound are properly recorded and communicated to the Line managers.
• 
  
• Coordinate with the line managers if any discrepancies found in inbound and act as per the instructions of the line managers.
• 
  
• Ensure the Putaway of the received pallets are completed on time.
• 
  
• Ensure the Nonconformance pallets are rebuilt as per the pallet conformance standard and fed back to the conveyor.
• 
  
• Ensure the Quality and safety procedures of Binzagr NDC are followed on the daily operations.
• 
  
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• 
  
• Adhere to all warehousing and operations handling requirements
• 
  
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• 
  
• Follow the work rotation, execute the assigned tasks appropriately.
• 
  
• Receive feedback from the line manager on all tasks executed and maintain the quality of services provided from internal and external customer.
• 
  

Outbound Operations (Internal and 3PL):

• 
  
• Ensure Standard Outbound warehousing practices are followed in the warehouse as per the SOP’s.
• 
  
• Execute the outbound orders are processed and shipped on time as per the required schedules and timeline.
• 
  
• Ensure the cases picking from the Case picking station and manual storage area are executed as directed by the system.
• 
  
• Prepare pallets for layer picking station and maintain the required pallet quantities all time.
• 
  
• Execute the orders to be shipped in the shift based on priority, volume, transport availability and other related factors to avoid any misinterpretation in the outbound activity.
• 
  
• Follow the loading schedules to the branches and follow up on the respective trucks are dispatched on time.
• 
  
• Ensure the shipped trucks are always loaded in Full.
• 
  
• In Case, full truck loads are not available for a particular destination, coordinate with the line managers for additional STO so that only full truck loads are dispatched.
• 
  

Inventory and cycle count

• 
  
• Ensure inventory and related cycle count activities are executed as per the requirements and monitor the inventory accuracy on daily basis in system.
• 
  
• Any deviations to the inventory standards should be thoroughly investigated and reported to the line managers until the solution is derived. Negligence is strictly not allowed.
• 
  
• Sorting and segregation of Damaged and non-saleable items during receipt or picking.
• 
  
• The inventory accuracy and the cycle count activities for the 3PL customers should be executed and maintained as per the agreed SLA’s.
• 
  
• Documentation of the inventory and related activities should be retained as per the documentation retention policies of customers (or Internal).
• 
  

Returns and Damages

• 
  
• The returns from the market (if any), should be segregated and received and reconciled in the system within 24 hrs.
• 
  
• The returns should be accepted only if there is proper documents for returns.
• 
  
• If there are any Damages in the returns the Warehouse manager can deny in accepting the returns.
• 
  
• Damages (in-house or import) has to be recorder properly without any deviations and should scrapped with necessary approvals in periodic intervals.
• 
  
• The Damage reports should be sent to the respective parties in copy to the line manager on periodic intervals.
• 
  

Housekeeping & General safety

• 
  
• Ensure proper Cleanliness inside the warehouse handling area.
• 
  
• Ensure the trash are cleared during handover and takeover of every shift.
• 
  
• Ensure the Dock area clean and tidy, without any plastic wraps and other wastes.
• 
  
• Ensure the wheels are chocked before every transaction in the Dock door.
• 
  
• Safeguard the staff with proper personal protective equipment (PPE’s) wherever applicable inside the operating area.
• 
  
• Attend the daily shift briefing is conducted on safety and other operational related activities.
•
