· Electrical estimators have the responsibility of evaluating the cost of electrical installations, typically for industrial projects. Coursework in cost estimation or a prior experience as an electrician can increase chances of employment. Certification in cost estimation is available.

· Electrical estimators are a specialized type of cost estimators who calculate the projected costs involved in electrical projects. These estimates are often used as bids for the work, which can be leveraged against other bids depending on the scope of the job. often classes in cost estimation are part of construction management or engineering programs.
· Must factor all potential costs involved in an electrical job, including labor, materials, location, how long the job will last and any special requirements that might be needed. Things such as overhead, insurance, taxes, subcontractors and even how the weather and time of the year may affect the work are also considered with determining the estimate. Their projections help their employer or clients decide how much profit a job can make.
· Carry out scrutiny of tender documents as well as evaluating tender documents, drawings and schedules.
· The desired applicant should float inquiries to suppliers and manufacturers.
· Negotiating with suppliers on both technical and commercial aspects of product.
· Maintaining ISO documentation, record keeping, suppliers and manufacturers.
· Registration all data, prices and quantity in Candy system
· The incumbent has a responsibility of delegating Draftsmen for quantity take offs and cross-checking quantities.
· Working as a team and provided expert resolution of electrical system as best as possible for the Client.
· Designed and implemented custom electrical systems for various clients as stable power, proper utilization, power saving, easy operation and maintenance and can be expandable in future.
· Estimation, tendering and supervision toward the electrical system in Commercial Building / Residential Schemes / Institutional Campus / Bottling Plant / Warehouses / Cash n carry etc.
· Analyzed blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to prepare time,
· Cost, materials, and labor estimates for ongoing projects.
· Researched and evaluated subcontractors based on price, quality, selection, service and support.
· Reviewed and completed bid proposals.
· Designed and prepared drawings using AUTOCAD software.
· Prepared reports and submitted them to concerned authorities within prescribed time.
· Reviews client's inquiry if the tender document is sufficient for pricing.
· Responsible for producing competitive prices through evaluation of instructions, specifications, drawings, bill of quantities and discussions with technical and production departments.
· Prepares the tender analysis sheet and presents it to the manager.
· Responsible for submitting the tender on time.
· Monitors and stores the costs to improve the accuracy of future pricing.
· Delegates the inquiries to other estimators.
· Checks the estimates or worksheets made by other estimators.
· Responsibilities included preparing preliminary cost estimates of projects that are in conceptual stage
· Help senior engineers in preparing rate analysis of different work packages
· Perform comparative analysis of estimates for different specifications of the work package and arrive at the optimal cost and specification as per standards set by company
