Scope:
Design and implementation of New GL to facilitate new and enhanced capabilities, e.g.:
Provide financial statements according to Profit Centres and Segments
Reduce time for reconciliation and closing through enabling real-time COFI integration
Simplify the ERP system through decommissioning of classic Profit Centre Accounting and merging special ledgers (FI-SL) into one ledger
Implement parallel accounting (according to local standards) to some/all company codes
Critical new functionality includes document splitting, FI-CO real-time reconciliation and parallel ledgers providing key benefits in areas such as:
Unified financial and management accounting
Support of multiple reporting requirements
Support of parallel accounting
Faster close
Increased transparency
Key activities before Dec 31, 2020 are business blueprinting, detailed design & configuration, testing and cut-over
Key Responsibilities:
Provide the necessary advices in New GL implementation, especially for different options of IT solutions and potential improvement opportunities
Facilitate the finance team in developing blueprint requirement for IT design
Guide the finance team in developing business process change and mitigations, and also the final go-live and necessary change management work
SAP Project delivery principles
Sizing, shaping and directing projects of work
Stakeholder relationship management
Presentation and facilitation
Specific Domain Expertise:
o Technical expert for SAP New GL with good understanding of system architecture and business processes needs.
o Expertise gained from multiple classic to New GL conversion projects at multinational entities, along with ability to lead and manage various functions in a conversion process
o SAP Finance and Accounting, e.g. New General Ledger (GL), Closing Dashboard
o SAP technical
o SAP ECC and S/4 HANA
