Responsibilities:
It is expected that you will have experience in the preparation of transport plans, Traffic Impact Assessments (TIA’s), feasibility studies, transport scheme reports, and transport/traffic appraisal with knowledge of relevant transport/traffic policy and standards.
You should be able to organize and manage the collection of raw transport and traffic data. Analyze and interpret data findings to provide appropriate transport and traffic solutions.
You will be required to have a strong knowledge of the principles of strategic transport modeling, and prior experience of using a range of transport specific and associated software including Synchro and Visum.
You will support a team of consultants working on a variety of urban planning and industrial planning tasks.
Liaise with the Ministry of Transport and other government agencies as required.
Ability to represent the department in executive management, departmental and external consultant meetings as necessary.
Coordinate with other Departments and Divisions in the implementation of the current and future Master Plan deliverables and initiatives related to Transport (all modes).
Formulate detailed transport planning policy updates and other amendments as part of the required amendments to existing and planned Master Plans.
Provide expert transport/traffic advice on development assessment and private sector investment proposals.
Assist in establishing, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
Actively participate in relevant coordination meetings and provide direction in daily operations to all section and department staff to manage output and products in accordance with the department objectives.
You must have a good all-round knowledge of the transport planning in the Middle East, preferable the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
