Jobs Management in Saudi Arabia
JOB PURPOSE:
- To work corporately with the other Directors to determine and deliver the organisation’s strategic plans, manage performance and ensure good governance.
- To organize and oversee all non-clinical services across the Long-Term Care Hospital (LTCH) including estates, facilities, business and IT; provide management and professional leadership to the senior managers and to
- Collect operational data and improve the financial status by analysing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends and recommending actions
- Contribute to business development and growth
- Provide advice related to budget
- Act as principal lead on all estates and facilities matters including ‘soft’ facilities (catering, housekeeping, cleaning, IT) and ‘hard’ facilities (maintenance and repair)
- Lead on safety and all non-clinical risk management
- Implement CBAHI & JCIA Standard for all Operation function.
3. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal:
- CEO and other Executive Directors (Medical, Human Resources)
- Quality & Patient Safety Manager
- Business Controller, Hospitality Manager, Facilities Supervisors
External:
- Government Offices
- Accrediting bodies including CBAHI and JCIA
- Suppliers of goods, materials, utilities and services
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
STRATEGY
- Ensure that the CEO is provided with full information and advice on the operations of the LTCH as well as all estates and facilities aspects of the LTCH’s strategic plans, programmes and projects
- Develop and implement the LTCH strategy for non-clinical support services
- Work closely with the Head of Departments to ensure that facilities and estates are considered in the development of the strategic ambitions of the business
- Prepare strategic documents including LTCH budget and other reports as needed.
- Lead IT Department and in-charge for budget approval
PERFORMANCE
- Operational management and delivery of non-clinical support services
- Act as professional lead for all facilities, land, estates, capital projects and related compliance across the LTCH
- Ensure the LTCH meets its legal and regulatory requirements concerning safety, including fire safety and all non-clinical risk management, working closely with the Quality and Patient Safety Manager
- Deliver against agreed KPIs for facilities and non-clinical support services
- Provide coherent management, direction and professional leadership to the LTCH’s Management, estates and facilities workforce that engages and inspires the achievement of the LTCH’s objectives and strategic plans
- Develop, maintain and implement standards, policies and practices relating to budget controls, facilities, estates and safety, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and organisational requirements/ policy
- Ensure effective system of briefing and communication within the LTCH Departments and operations department
- Contract management for LTCH Operations, including re-tendering
- Business continuity planning
- Deliver a balanced budget, meeting financial targets as agreed
LEADERSHIP
- Ensure appropriate management and supervision arrangements exist in the LTCH for all Operations staff
- Take lead responsibility for matters relating to training and career development for Operations staff
- Ensure appropriate management oversight of delivery and performance of outsourced contracts.
- Supervise, appraise and produce individual Personal Development Plan (PDPs) and coach senior staff.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection and retention of Operations staff.
- Participate in on-call Management’ rota as required
PARTNERSHIP
- Act on behalf of the LTCH on Operations, facilities and non-clinical safety matters relating to external bodies such as accrediting bodies including JCIA and CBAHI, government offices and other healthcare providers
- Promote customer service and hospitality with patients/service users and family members and ensure the resolution of non-clinical complaints
