Strategy Development and Implementation
· Develop and direct the implementation of the departmental strategy ensuring alignment to the divisional strategy, Zamil Offshore’s vision, mission, and corporate objectives.
· Ensure the provision of subject matter expertise for the assigned domain and provide counsel to Zamil Offshore’s leadership on all related areas to facilitate the achievement of Zamil Offshore’s strategy and departmental strategies.
Budgeting and Financial Performance
· Oversee the consolidation and recommend the departmental budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/ revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Procurement
· Oversee the management of the procurement process including RFP issuance, shortlisting, and evaluation of bidders.
· Ensure the requirements from the business with materials forecasting to ensure smooth and seamless streamline of supply without interruption, and that the product specifications and quantity of all received orders are as per the purchase order.
· Establish professional relationships with vendors to ensure the accessibility of quality materials and services in a timely and efficient manner and in line with the divisional strategy and policy.
· Ensure that procurement activities are processed in accordance to defined policies and procedures and escalate incidents of non-compliance to relevant authorities.
· Direct the internal control mechanism to ensure quality standards are met in delivery of all approved procurement requests and resolve any grievances/issues accordingly.
· Build framework agreements for repetitive items and services.
Warehouse
· Oversee the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of all warehouse activities to increase efficiency and standardization of warehouse operations in order to ensure all records are updated accurately displaying the correct quantities of goods stored.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
· Develop and lead the implementation of the departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls covering all areas of assigned functional so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
Change Management
· Lead the management of change through continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes and practices considering global standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
Reporting
· Ensure that all departmental reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Zamil Offshore requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Health & Safety
· Maintain an awareness of all health and safety rules applying to the assigned tasks and tools to ensure that safe working practices are observed.
· Monitor and improve the health and safety standards in the workplace.
Leadership
· Provide guidance, coaching and supporting to the team by managing the effectiveness and taking corrective action in line with relevant processes.
· Manage the effective achievement of departmental objectives through effective leadership and by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating team to maximize performance.
Succession Planning
· Identify the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform department as well as segment leaders’ functions within the department.
· Plan and develop suitable individuals within the department to potentially perform those functions through training, coaching, mentoring, and assigning specific tasks to hone their potential.
Performance Management
· Ensure that each employee goals are set and aligned with the company strategy and the employee can contribute to achieving them in order to meet the objectives.
Utilize KPIs to all direct employees and ensuring they are evaluated correctly and fairly in line with company policies.
