Responsibilities:-
1. Assure project deliverables, and those of the contractors and subcontractors, meet with the programs’ specifications and standards.
2. Assuring compliance with engineering principals and standards. Document nonconformance to specifications, codes and standards, and may be asked to participate in determining appropriate resolution.
3. Attention to details and ability to work with various stakeholders will be required.
4. A site engineer must start from analyzing various areas and factors that are related to designing and construction.
5. Assess both challenges and potential risks of the planned project.
6. Undertake initiatives for risk management and take appropriate steps for it.
7. Ensure that the said rules, regulations and guidelines are followed without any exception.
8. Managing, supervising and visiting CS / contractors on site and advising on daily site issues.
9. Adopting all relevant requirements around issues such as building permits, environmental regulations, sanitary design, good manufacturing practices and safety on all work assignments.
10. Monitor the consultant and contractor performance and issue reports as required by the Employer.
11. Review progress and recommend payments on site level.
12. Perform supervision for random sampling assessment and offer any corrective actions of possible improvements.
13. Perform construction management including safety and quality measures.
14. Recommend project completion certificate prior to handover of the units.
15. Manage snagging and de-snagging process including handover of the units.
16. Plan and Implement the process for OLP (Defects Liability Period) to be managed by the Employer's Facilities Management team.
17. Monitor DLP status on monthly basis and recommend any corrective measures.
18. In addition to construction supervision, the construction manager is also responsible for supervising field administration, procurement, and field engineering.
19. Manages and mentors subordinate staff members.
20. Coordinates work with engineering and construction units at project site. (5-10 % random sampling)
21. Reviews CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, prepared by Architectural and Engineering Designers.
22. Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
23. Evaluate progress of each project phase to determine if time schedules and cost objectives are being met.
24. Oversee periodic inspection of construction activities and compiles noncompliance.
25. Prepare reports as appropriate.
26. Monitor project and staff to ensure that project is progressing according to established procedures and cost, time and quality objectives at Regional level.
