This critical role will support the sustainability consultancy strategic expansion by utilizing international and tailored sustainability systems to develop with client ideas that will be further advanced by an in-house dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly technical team.
You will be involved in reviewing the data and contributing to the preparation of various environmental reports that are submitted to the client and regulatory agencies, including Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs). You will be actively engaged in supporting the construction teams in minimizing impact of soil contamination or construction activities (dust control, construction water disposal, etc.). The key to your success will be your ability to help our client execute mitigation strategies in a fiscally responsible manner to assure compliance with local, state and federal regulations, schedule performance, and community safety.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will bring a clear understanding of global good sustainability consultancy practices and proven development, and delivery of projects in green certification and bespoke sustainability consultancy urban development sectors.
- Demonstrated technical ability in sustainability applications and proven experience in working on large-scale projects from conception up to project completion including design, delivery and close-out.
- Working knowledge of multiple international green certification standards, such as LEED, BREEAM, CEEQUAL, GRESB. LEED GA/AP Certification is considered as a minimum requirement.
- Function as discipline Lead on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.
- Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering unit or project requiring a largescale expenditure of manpower and financial investment.
- Leads other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.
- Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
- Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.
- Prepares material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions; reviews supplier data; witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.
- Develops operation and maintenance plans; develops standard operating procedures; prepares O & M manuals and may conduct onsite training of personnel.
- Conducts surveys, studies, and site investigations. Performs reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM) and safety analyses.
- Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
- Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties.
- Recommends and prepares technical papers.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
