Job Title Cost Control Manager
Purpose of the Job
- Take charge of the Cost Control activities of the company (Joint Venture) for a Rail Construction Project
- Ensure accuracy of actuals and cost to complete data of the project
- Support the work package owners in the control / financial management if their Package
Organisation Structure
Hierarchical, operational and function reporting : JV Finance Manager
Key Network & Links
- Work closely with the JV Finance Manager
- Work closely with WP Owners
- Work closely with Accounting
- Lead cost control and reforecast process
Mission Objectives
- Manage a team of cost controllers
- Ensure accuracy of quality and costs data
- Review in full transparency the performance vs. the commitment of a Work Package
- Help the JV Management to implement JV financial procedures
- Be an active support to the JV Finance Manager and Project Management
- Help the JV management to prepare the monthly review
- Support the JV finance manager in cash flow monitoring
- Analyse the execution performance and propose action plans to improve contract margin
- Implement corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
- Various ad-hoc analysis and reports
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of cost controller
- In charge of accurate financial data & monthly actuals and WP review process
- In charge of the forecast process and review
- Present all financial data in a transparent way
- Monitor risks and savings, create mitigation plans
- Prepare the Estimate at Completion to be validated during the forecast review
- Support the Work Package Owners in the financial management & review of their WPs
- Calculate and analyze the cost evolution since situation 0
- Ensure the monthly WP reporting
- Ensure reconciliation takes place between approved project financial data and books
