JOB PURPOSE:
Monitor and ensure the efficient RO operation, reliability & safety of the RO Plant & related auxiliaries during overall shifts and make sure that the plant parameters are maintained within the required standard in order to ensure continued operation of the RO plant in a safe & reliable manner. Investigate and report incidents, suggests changes in operational mode. Review specifications and engineering work and solving technical problems.
JOB CONTEXT:
The jobholder is directly reporting to The Water Production Department Manager, Yanbu.
The prime responsibility of the jobholder is to manage and supervise the RO Plant facility and its auxiliaries in order to maximize the facility utilization, minimize costs and achieve the overall water production department’s objectives.
The RO Plant section work three shifts four crews (24 hours/day).
The nature of the department activity requires fieldwork rather than office work, and hence the employees are subject to great deal of noise, feed water parameters, high voltage electricity.
The jobholder operates under the general guidance of Superintendent on all routine issues related to the RO Plant.
Any extraordinary issues arising outside of set policies and procedures are referred to the Superintendent Operations for discussion and approval of recommended actions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
3 - 5 years’ relevant engineering/maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
2 - 3 years’ operational desalination water treatment experience.
Previous supervisory/man-management experience.
