JOB PURPOSE:
Evaluate and follow-up the execution of the different projects in (discipline) within agreed time, cost, technical and quality standards in order to achieve the strategic objectives of Yanbu projects.
JOB CONTEXT:
This position reports to Manager. The jobholder contributes to the execution of the various projects in the specified location.
The jobholder is a key member of a team that usually works together during new projects and has primary responsibility to maintain strong relationships with contractors/vendors and stay abreast with ‘best practice’ in project management regionally and internationally.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal:
Daily status communication with Manager.
Liaise and co-ordinate with the different departments in Marafiq e.g. Operations, Maintenance, Finance, Industrial Safety and Plant Engineering on technical and administrative matters.
Communicating with engineering staff on technical administrative matters and working environment issues.
External:
Ad hoc communication with vendors/contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in Engineering (Discipline).
Minimum Experience:
5-7 years of project management experience in a heavy industrial or utilities environment.
2 - 3 years’ experience of managing third party contactors in the execution of projects.
Experience of managing multi-disciplinary projects.
Job-Specific Skills:
Skilled in the use of project management software and demonstrating capability of making optimal use of the software to achieve assignment requirements.
Skilled in estimating project resource requirements (manpower, materials, financial).
Skilled in identifying project critical paths and determining appropriate project milestones.
Knowledge of project cash flow management techniques.
