JOB PURPOSE:
By working in cooperation with Supervisor (category) and buyers, supports the category management & development and implementation of sourcing strategies, through research and analysis.
JOB CONTEXT:
The job holder works under the guidance and directions of the Supervisor category. The jobholder primary responsibly is facilitating the sourcing process between departments and vendors/suppliers.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Sourcing of assigned category
This role operates under the general guidance and direction of a Supervisor, Procurement (category) across the sourcing areas of accountability. The post holder is accountable for operating day-to-day plans concerning ongoing sourcing issues within a framework of set operational policies and procedures.
The post holder Major and/or extraordinary issues must be referred to his supervisor for direction and/or approval.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications :
An appropriate Engineering degree.
Minimum Experience :
3 to 5 years’ experience in the procurement and sourcing.
Job Specific Skills :
Proven strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to gather, analyze and refine data, strong knowledge of financial analysis
Advanced skills of utilizing IT systems and applications.
Good interpersonal skills and fluent English.
