Description
My client, a multinational FMCG ambient food manufacturer is looking to recruit a QHSE Manager for their site in Riyadh, KSA. This role is a new position and is a mixture of Compliance, Quality and HSE. The role includes the following:
Areas of responsibility:
- Product QA and food safety standards and strategy- Company Systems and policy development aligned to group- M&A assessment and delivery- Coordination of crisis incident management teams- HS&E strategy development and governance- Capex delivery (Compliance)- Business continuity planning
Key outputs:
Acquisitions and Co-Manufacturing
- Due diligence of potential M&A from a compliance perspective- Capex planning for new M&A- Early life planning and support for M&A including people capability development- Co -Man assessment and ongoing compliance management
Health Safety & Environment
- Develop appropriate standards and policy linked to group policy for all Manufacturing hubs with attention to local legislation- Define hubs structure for development, surveillance, management and planning for HS&E- Develop or utilise current group systems for surveillance and monitoring of relevant data related to HS&E- Develop strategy and road map defining HS&E agenda continuously driving improving standards including people development- Ensure Safety systems and standards are deployed across all hubs and tracked via relevant KPI's- Support sites in capex planning linked to HS&E- Own surveillance of legislation in International locations
Quality Assurance
- Supplier quality assurance (SQA), tailored for market cultural context- Makes recommendations (including capital requirements) to the site's Leadership Team / business as a whole to maintain and improve product quality and food safety standards based on consistent and systematic quality KPIs reporting- Motivates and develops the site Manufacturing teams to deliver the Central QA strategies, policies and product quality improvement plans- Manages the Group Compliance and third party standards (e.g. ISO) site audits and external accreditation on behalf of the relevant sites- Works closely with Group QA Systems Manager to prioritise development of and then implement generic best practice systems and procedures across all Hubs- Co-ordinates the communication, implementation and on-going maintenance of all company wide policies, systems and procedures. Reports against agreed Compliance Key Performance Indicators to identify trends and exceptions- Directs the sites continuous product improvement plans, including the complaint reduction programme [consumers and customers]- Provides the QA input to the formal specification reviews with site Manufacturing, Marketing, NPD and Customer teams- Provides Product Quality and Food safety risk assessment to Innovation/NPD plans working closely with the Design and P2M teams
Food Safety and Critical incident Management
- Develop a Food safety program for each site to enable commercial growth plans- Compliance lead for the sites Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (CCPs) system and ensures it remains robust- Ensures compliance to Group CIM process across hubs. CIM Coordinator for the Business units, involved in all CIM [Central or Hubs]- Ensures compliance to all customers' and legislative requirements
