Assist the Planning Section Head in proposing global developments in all IT applications and how they may be applied within both Marafiq and developed as service offerings to customers so that the company maintains the technological capability to facilitate the achievement of its strategic plan in order to support the achievement of the organizations overall strategic objectives in a legal compliance manner and capitalizes upon potential market opportunities
The position acts in an advisory capacity and advises the Section Head IT planning on the information strategy planning and future IT development.
Assist the Section Head in Collating and write the IT Department’s strategic plan so that the business is aware of anticipated IT-based capital expenditure and key IT initiatives to be undertaken in support of the achievement of the organization’s strategic objectives
Maintain an awareness of global developments in all areas of IT technology and evaluate the potential application of new technology within Marafiq so that business process efficiency can be optimized
Provide consultative and financial support across the IT Department so that all budgets/plans are prepared and submitted in a timely manner and the department’s decision-making efficiency is optimized.
Assist the Section Head in Evaluating the feasibility of all proposed IT projects in terms of potential project returns, efficiency gains and technical feasibility to ensure that all projects will deliver their anticipated benefits
Provide input to the preparation of the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
Assist in the development and implementation of IT operational policies, procedures & controls covering all areas of IT activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality,
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
