As the Plant Production Manager you will be responsible for managing c.10 production lines for a market-leading confectionery / biscuits manufacturer in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will have an integral role in the business managing an operation of up to 400 employees.
In order to be successful in this role you will have the ability to influence, mentor and drive a large and diverse team therefore strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will need to adopt a collaborative approach and have a strong background in finance with the ability to read and influence a P&L. This is a challenging opportunity and requires somebody who has the energy and passion to ensure collectively that the business works towards a common goal.
Responsibilities:
• Achieving set company and departmental Objectives, includes targets on Safety & hygiene targets, OEE standards, quality, control of BOM variances, manpower variances, cost control, and achieving targeted Saudization
• Coordinate with planning and ensure timely delivery of production requirements
• Responsible for the department annual budget development and cost control within budget
• Ensure adherence to GMP; meeting health, safety, and hygiene standards. The focus is to achieve an accident free workplace
• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and develops justifications for capital investment
• Support NPD and lead initiatives for product and process improvements
• Manage, with the project team, all capital equipment installations, and lead commissioning of expansion projects
• Build an effective team through best recruitment standards to ensure each position is filled by the best person
• Reviewing worker performance and identifying training needs for skills development.
