Major Duties and Responsibilities
► Participate in developing of business plan for the finance and accounting department.
► Participate in developing the annual budget for the finance and accounting department and ensure maintaining the costs and expenditure within the set budget.
► Implement the finance and accounting guidelines, policies and procedures and ensure its implementation across the department.
Financial Analysis (for the Group)
► Conduct feasibility studies to appraise feasibility and viability of new ventures / business opportunities.
► Conduct due diligence to estimate the value of each investment opportunity or project (assessing size, timing and predictability of future cash flows) and provide analysis to CFO.
► Assess new project's value using a various valuation methods, and recommend the opportunity with the highest value.
► Develop evaluations and recommendations to CFO based on financial analysis produced.
► Develop long-term plans and financial models in coordination with the CFO.
► Perform financial analysis and assessment on new company formations to identify the optimal capital structure (i.e. to finance that investment with equity or debt) and recommend to the CFO.
Financial Analysis (on the Group)
► Develop periodic financial analysis of Corporate and Sectors to identify trends and / or potential problems.
► Provide assessment of financial risks (e.g. interest rate and exchange rate) to CFO.
► Develop financial risk management program in consultation with the treasury officer.
► Develop financial and business-related analyses in areas such as revenue and expense performance, capital project rate of return and merger / acquisition / divestiture performance.
► Analyze growth, liquidity, financial stability, and profitability through the use of metrics, financial ratios and comparative figures as well as analysis of the financial statements.
► Conduct investigative and analytical feasibility projects aimed at improving profit margins.
Supervisory
► Provide guidance and leadership to all employees to ensure effective and efficient flow of work, and ensure all employees recognize their fundamental role in the section.
► Ensure financial analysis services are successfully and meaningfully being delivered and are supporting the operations of group.
► Delegate some responsibilities to appropriate subordinates to benefit from smooth running of the section’s operation.
► Monitor the adherence of section employees to the department’s guidelines, policies and procedures.
