Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Supervisor of Maintenance and Cleaning with the facility management office in Niagara College KSA, Taif Campus. The position requires a mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience in the use of hand and power tools Reporting to the Maintenance and Cleaning Supervisor, the Assistant Supervisor of Maintenance will provide support to supervise the outsourced services vendors. It is expected that the incumbent be flexible in terms of hours of work and maintain confidentiality, diplomacy and tact regarding internal and external relations. This position has a duration of 12 months, with possibility of renewal, and with a start date of as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations, calibration, cleaning, maintenance and repairs of all equipment that are on NC KSA - Taif campus as it pertains to generators, A/C’s, chillers, power cables & boards, water pipes in the fire reservoirs, elevators, fire pumps, water pumps and irrigation pumps, ensuring full functionality and regular maintenance as per the manual.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance and Cleaning Supervisor in coordinating with the outsourced services vendors regarding, attendance, compliance with the agreements, performance evaluation, and warrantees.
- Coordinate, in conjunction with the Supervisor, the need for trouble shooting on campus, including the main academic buildings, residences, student cafeteria and sport facility
- Ensure that facilities are functioning safely and efficiently operational in compliance with applicable laws and codes using sound preventative maintenance programs
- Review the daily and weekly tasks with the Supervisor
- Establish good work control practices, ensuring that maintenance priorities and customer needs are optimized with the available manpower
- Respond to requests and emergencies related to the operation of facilities by taking appropriate actions
